A Survey of the termite species associated with Eucalyptus plantations in Zambia, by P.O.Y. Nkunika, Vol.5, October 1980, Pg. 33-38


A survey of eucalyptus in some parts of Zambia carried out in 1980-81 led to the identification of at least 17 termite species which were associated with these exotic trees. Brief description of their biology, and damage that these insects cause to Eucalyptus are given. This work was undertaken because of the seriousness of termite damage to young eucalyptus in Zambian plantations. This information is considered vital for efficient termite control programme in Zambia.
